Boris Johnson announced on Monday that schools would begin reopening from the 8^th March. Government has asked that we test our students three times in their first two weeks, with tests needing to be between three and five days apart. The first three tests will be conducted on site and students will be expected to continue testing at home from the 15^th March.

We plan to test students on the following dates over the next two weeks. You will receive a text inviting you to attend and giving you a date and time of when to come

• Thursday 4^th March                     Years 9 and 10

• 5^th March                                        Years 7 and 8

• 8^th March                                        Years 13, 12 and 11

• 11^th March                                      Years 13, 12 and 11

As you are aware, schools were asked to implement mass testing arrangements before the announcement of the new lockdown on 6th January 2021.

This programme currently is for the school to test students on their return to school. Whilst the government is encouraging all students and staff to
participate in the testing arrangements are of course voluntary and any testing will only take place with consent. All parents and carers are required to complete the attached Microsoft Form giving or declining consent. On this occasion an email will not be sufficient.

The national free school meal voucher scheme will continue up to the 5^th March 2021. NCC will again be providing families with ‘Huggg.me’ vouchers for over the half term break. Edenred vouchers will again be available to families from the 22^nd February. Please check your email regularly for your ecodes.

We need a live email address for you to be able to place orders for supermarket gift cards on behalf of families whose children are eligible for free school meals, to cover the period between 12 February and 5 March 2001(3 weeks).

Gift cards are worth £15 a week per eligible child per week. Families will receive an eCode from Hugg.me or Edenred by email to redeem from a supermarket of their choice.
