The 16 to 19 tuition fund 2021 to 2022 academic year

Additional funding for the academic years 2020 to 2021 and 2021 to 2022 for schools, colleges and other 16 to 19 institutions to mitigate the disruption to learning arising from coronavirus (COVID-19).

At Weavers Academy we are using this funding in the following ways

  1. Providing additional small group tuition for students who have not yet obtained a GCSE Grade 4 in English or Maths
  2. Additional small group tuition will also be made available to students who have a grade 4 or above in English and/or maths, are from an economically disadvantaged background and would need catch-up support. These are defined as students from the 27% most economically deprived areas of the country based on the index of multiple deprivation.
  3. Allocating additional support to Year 13 students who have received discontinuity in their Year 12 studies that has impacted on progress. This will be through the use of external consultants and course support.
  4. Providing academic mentoring to SEND students to support with the completion of their studies in 2021-2022.

Please see below for the breakdown of support being made available. £5,757 has been allocated for the support at Weavers
