Welcome from the Principal
Welcome to Weavers Academy
Weavers Academy is a vibrant 11-16 co-educational day school, proudly specialising in literature and the performing arts. We offer a rigorous, traditional curriculum enriched by a wide range of opportunities in the arts, technology, and sport, teaching tailored to the unique talents and interests of our students.
Located in Wellingborough, Northamptonshire, Weavers Academy is deeply rooted in its local community. Our values of PRIDE - Productivity, Respect, Independence, Determination, and Engagement, shape our culture and guide everything we do. We are especially proud of our students, who consistently uphold and represent these values both within school and beyond. Whether in the classroom, on stage, in competition, or in the wider community, our learners demonstrate the character and commitment that define Weavers Academy.
As educationalists, we believe it is our responsibility to recognise the talent in every child and ensure they have every opportunity to succeed, both now and in the future. We are committed to helping each student become the very best version of themselves, equipping them with the skills, confidence, and resilience to thrive in life beyond school.
Since joining the Creative Education Trust in 2013, Weavers Academy has benefited from the strength of a national network while retaining the autonomy to make decisions that best serve our students. We work closely with other CET schools to share expertise and resources, ensuring every learner has access to high-quality education and support.
In our most recent Ofsted inspection (May 2022), Weavers Academy was rated "Good" in all areas. Inspectors praised our purposeful curriculum, caring staff, and calm learning environment, noting that "pupils behave well in lessons and around the school" and that the school atmosphere is both supportive and ambitious.
With over 150 dedicated staff members, Weavers Academy is one of the largest employers in the area. Our team is united by a shared vision: to shape an educational community where every student can succeed, develop character, and feel truly supported.
Our commitment to being an Employer of Choice is reflected in our strong staff relations, competitive pay, recognition, diversity, equality of opportunity, and focus on wellbeing.
We invite you to explore our website and discover more about our wonderful students, school, our values, and our vision for the future.
Yours faithfully
Emma Merry
